ANALYSIS ATTITUDE BRIDES AND GROOMS TO BE TOWARD PREMARITAL HIV TESTING

Background: In Surabaya, every bride and groom to be is required do a premarital HIV testing, knows their status positive or negative. 2018, there were 127 cases in be, but only 7.8% canceled marriage while 40.9% continued marriage, even 51.3% had unknown information. This study aims analyze the attitude knowledge of regarding testing. Method: this research was conducted at Putat Jaya Health Center Surabaya July 2020 – January 2021, type quantitative analytic design with cross sectional design. The number samples 72 prospective brides consisting 36 grooms. sampling technique used purposive sampling. variables about instrument questionnaire that previously been tested for validity by researcher. Data analysis chi-square test fisher's exact test. Results: Overall who have good will tell partner results they got, besides 42.3% are less knowledgeable not willing carry out routine consultations treatment, small proportion also found (18.8 %) grooms treatment if get Conclusion: general, influence attitude, being partners continuity care always give , so needs more handling from health workers, especially communication education.
